Learning from a decade of collaboration

This report converges the collaborative work and collective perspectives of over 10 organisations and individuals within the Coalition of Latin Americans in the UK.

This is the result of a 12-month exercise where we discussed learnings from a decade of collective mission, and drew the foundational plans to drive forward new projects in upcoming years. We wanted to ensure we have systems in place so we can grow together and to build sustainability into our work.

We believe the “how” we work together is as important as the purpose or “why” we come together.

As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, this report reflects our
journey, achievements, and the roadmap we’ve charted for the
future—a testament to our unwavering commitment to the
Latin American communities in the UK.

From marching with Justice4Cleaners outside the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), to responding to Public Health England during Covid-19, CLAUK has been collaborating for more than a decade. We have increased information among local authorities, political parties and raised the profile of the Latin American communities.

We would like to formally thank all of our current and past members for their invaluable contributions, hard work and dedication to making this coalition project happen.

We are deeply grateful for each individual, their expertise and steadfast commitment to bringing many others onboard to realise the ambition of a growing community of Latin Americans in the UK, before and beyond the legacy of the No Longer Invisible and Towards Visibility projects.
